New Website
It's been about six months, time to shake things up a bit. Xterm Pest Management, with our web designer DTSL Williams, launched today a new Xterm Website designed to achieve two primary goals.
1.) Provide a lighter, easier to read and enjoy website
2.) Make sure that you get your pest control questions answered.

Organic Pest Control
While Chemical pest control is still the predominant type of pest control today, its long-term effects led to a renewed interest in traditional, organic and biological pest control.
As such, Xterm Pest Management will soon be launching a new section of this website discussing the benefits and features of Organic pest control.
How to choose a PMP
Here are some tips for selecting a qualified pest professional to service your home.
• Ask friends and neighbors to recommend pest control companies they have used successfully and how satisfied they were with the service.
• Be wary of the scruffy operator who comes to your home uninvited and offers to give your house a free inspection for pests. He or she may try to scare you into authorizing immediate and costly treatments.
• If a sizable amount of money is involved, get bids from several pest control firms and feel free to negotiate prices and get an explination of fees.
• Don’t rush a decision. Since you are paying for professional knowledge, look for someone whose judgment you can trust and make sure your decision is fully informed.
• Before signing any contract, be sure to fully understand the nature of the pest to be exterminated, the extent of the infestation, and the work necessary to solve the problem. Ask questions!
• Find out if the pest control company has liability insurance to cover any damages to your house.
• Choose a pest professional that is a part of a local or state pest management association, such as the National Pest Management Association. These pest professionals have taken the next step in education and training.
• If a guarantee is given, know what it covers, how long it lasts, what you must do to keep it in force, and what kind of continuing control, prevention and management are necessary.
• Buy value, not price. Beware of bargains that sound too good to be true.
• A federal law requires commercial applicators of “restricted use” pest control products to be certified. The certification program is left up to the state. Homeowners can call the certifying state agencies for information.
Keep all of these tips in mind when you consult with pest control and management companies.
